HAVE YOU CHECKED THE HOME PAGE FOR THE LATEST INFO?
I have managed to resurrect some of the Guest Books from the previous FDR Websites. There are some that are lost forever but this is the best there is at the moment. There is a lot of good stuff there.

SO
Please put your email address in your message so your shipmates can get back to you (if they can remember you).
There is software on board that makes it unreadable to the “bots” who collect that sort of stuff.
All entries must be approved before they will appear in the book. Any inappropriate entries, as well as those with invalid email addresses, will be deleted and will not appear. I check daily so don’t despair if your entry doesn’t appear immediately.
Due to a rash of automated spam messages we now use “captcha” authentication. Just enter the “captcha” code and then SUBMIT. Don’t worry about upper or lower case….either will work. If you have trouble reading it just click the little button to the right and it will “refresh”. Thanks!
Many shipmates have told me, via email, about having visited this site. Oddly many have not left entries here for their shipmates to see. THEY do wonder how you are and probably would love to hear from you. This is a great way get back in contact.
REMEMBER….THE ONLY WAY FOR YOUR SHIPMATES TO GET IN CONTACT WITH YOU IS HAVING YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS IN YOUR MESSAGE
For YOUR protection – No home phone numbers or addresses please. Please save that for when you make email contact.

I was in VF11 from October 1961 though August 1963. Our home away from home(NAS Cecil Field, FL) was the Rosie. We made several short Carribean cruises and training/airshow cruises plus one Med cruise that I will never forget. I had some good shipmates and some fun times on that cruise. I live in Alabama now married to the girl I was dating back then. My e-mail address for anyone who might like to contact me is arthur20@otelco.net

Attention CR Division WESTPAC cruise 1966 – 1967
There is a CR division photo and the May 1966 Underway Watchbill posted on this website. You’ll recognize the faces……Shock, Howard, Wilson, Scott, Halpin, McAtee, Hubbard, Adams, Novak, Stefanski, Goodale, Wheeler, Murray. Also EJ the DJ Spear and Larry Bucher have both written books which include CR division stories from 1964 to 1967.
Both are available on Amazon.com by searching the authors; Larry Bucher and E. Jon Spear, in BOOKS. ( I never figured “EJ the DJ” taking the pen name “E. Jon Spear”) and who knew there was an author “LURKING WITHIN”.
E. Jon’s website is: http://www.navydays.org/
Best Wishes
I was an ABH3 and worked the hanger deck as a director during the 71 cruise and moved up to V1 on the flight deck and worked Crash & Salvage for the 72 cruise. I left the ship before the end of the tour and was flown back to the states for separation in Sept. 1972. It’s been a long time I don’t know how many names I can remember, but would like to hear from any of the guys I worked with.
